The 2017 Nissan Armada comes with a strong 390 horsepower engine and seven-speed automatic transmission. My first impression was “OMG this car is huge!” and it’s absolutely true. This big SUV is a very safe vehicle with an extremely pleasant drive.
The version I tested is the loaded 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum. If you like to drive a large and strong SUV, then the 2017 Nissan Armada is a perfect option! I was very surprised with the excellent Armada’s ride quality. This vehicle has strong breaks and an acoustic windshield, what makes wind noise and road impressively quiet.
Interior design is simple but well done and the materials used are excellent. The beige color leather seats are comfortable and nicely bolstered. The steering wheel has a nice Nissan badge. The Armada’s fancy leather seats and electronic equipment, make this model an even better luxury SUV.
The cargo area is pretty large, especially when the third row is folded. Total cargo volume with second and third rows folded is 95.4 cubic feet. The 2017 Armada now comes with a lot of features, like an optional forward collision warning system, forward automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and prevention, blind spot warning and intervention, and a 360-degree camera view of the vehicle’s surroundings.
My overall experience is having the feeling of driving a luxury and more expensive vehicle, which isn’t a bad thing. You can call the Armada an eight-seat SUV. Good interior space. That third row is considerably small, but you easily can fit a few kids with a good shoulder room.
